Dream Yoga - Single

by Chance Chants

/

about

The translucent ball composed of yellow pentagrams, blue squares, and red triangles appeared to me and said, "For Dream Yoga: Ask A Question." I woke up and drew the shapes, then recorded improvised lyrics with a vocal beat & Hammond organ, a synth, harmonium, and electric ukulele. The drawing is the cover.

lyrics

Keep a light in the eye ball.
Keep it in cold, keep it in rain.
Fall in the fall, run in the bye now.
People come in, won't they run away?

Falling in the darkness, sow it in the light now:
do we call it lust or light lost?
Crawling in the years, are they crawling in tune?
Climbing up the staircase, running right back to You.

You got the treason, won't get the kind,
hoping that they won't touch the mind,
hoping that we won't believe,
hoping that we're on the screen.

I found a light in the hide out.
Follow the rain, making no sound.
What do they teach us now:
that we've been learned so long, can't even know how?

Because the more we sing with the irony
and the joke's on us, but we don't see
and when we live in the day prophesied:
everyday, yesterday, tomorrow in the same.

And what is in the icicles,
and what is in the brain cells,
and what is in your toe-nail
is flowing in harbor sails.

And even in the icy space,
how many human races
do you think that it would take
to make it all go away?

A way, hey hey, hey hey hey hey.
A way, hey, hey hey hey hey.
